Welcome to Ever After. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Ever After mobile application and any related services I provide (collectively, the “Service”).
By downloading, installing, creating an account, or using the Service in any way, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

By using the Service, you represent that:
- You are at least 13 years old
- You have the legal capacity to agree to these Terms
- You are not barred from using the Service under any applicable law
If you are under 18, you confirm that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf.
In the future, account creation may include optional steps to verify age via date of birth and/or phone number for security and compliance purposes.
2. Accounts
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information when you create an account
- Keep your login details secure

- Be responsible for everything that happens under your account
You may not:
- Share your account with anyone else
- Create accounts for other people without their permission
- Use the Service for any illegal purpose
You may be asked to provide additional information (such as phone number or date of birth) during onboarding for verification and age eligibility purposes. Any such data will be handled as described in the Privacy Policy.
I may suspend or terminate your account if these Terms are violated.
3. User Content
You can post reviews, comments, ratings, messages, profile information, and other content (“User Content”).
You keep ownership of your User Content.
By posting User Content, you grant me a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to display, store, distribute, and reproduce your content, and to make minor modifications only as needed for technical or formatting reasons — but only to operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
This license ends when you delete the content or close your account (except for any copies I must keep for legal or backup purposes).
You represent that:
- You own or have the rights to post your User Content
- It does not infringe anyone else’s rights
- It complies with these Terms
4. Prohibited Conduct
You may not:
- Post anything illegal, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, or obscene
- Harass, impersonate, dox, or bully other users
- Post hate speech or discriminatory content (including based on race, ethnicity, gender, religion, disability, etc.)
- Post sexually explicit material
- Spam, scam, or send malware or harmful code
- Try to interfere with, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to the Service
- Use the Service to violate any law or third-party rights
I may remove content or suspend/ban users for any violation.
5. Moderation and Enforcement
I may (but am not required to) review or remove User Content. I can:
- Remove or disable content
- Suspend or ban accounts
- Restrict access to features
If your account is suspended or banned, you can appeal by emailing lucas@thisiseverafter.com within 30 days. I’ll review appeals in good faith, but I’m not required to reverse any decision.
You can report violations using the in-app reporting tools.
6. Blocking
You can block other users. Blocked users may no longer be able to message you, follow you, or interact with your content. Blocking may also hide past interactions where technically possible.
7. Third-Party Content (TMDb)
Ever After uses data from The Movie Database (TMDb), including movie metadata, posters, and related information. All such content belongs to its respective owners.
Ever After does not own third-party content.
“This product uses the TMDb API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDb.”
8. Intellectual Property
The Service, including its design, code, user interface, graphics, text, and any original content I create (excluding User Content), belongs to me, Lucas Howard, and is protected by copyright and other applicable intellectual property laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, reverse engineer, decompile, distribute, create derivative works from, or exploit any part of the Service without my written permission.
“Ever After” is the name I use for this app. While I have not registered it as a formal trademark, please do not use the name “Ever After” (or confusingly similar names) for any competing or similar service.
9. DMCA / Copyright Infringement
I respect copyright and will respond to legitimate notices of infringement.
If you believe content on Ever After infringes your copyright, please contact me directly:
Lucas Howard
Please include:
- Your name and contact information
- A description of the copyrighted work
- The location of the allegedly infringing material (e.g., specific post or URL)
- A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate
I will review valid notices promptly and may remove or disable access to the content. Repeat infringers may have their accounts terminated.
10. Indemnification
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold me (Lucas Howard) harmless from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from:
- Your use of the Service
- Your User Content
- Your violation of these Terms
- Your violation of any law or third-party rights
11. Privacy
Your use of the Service is governed by the Privacy Policy, which explains how I collect, use, and protect information.
12. Termination
I may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you violate these Terms, if required by law, or if I decide to discontinue the Service.
You can stop using the Service at any time by deleting your account.
13. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” I do not guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any third-party data (including TMDb information) will be accurate. I do my best to keep it working well, but I cannot promise perfection.
14. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, I will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages (including loss of data or profits) arising from your use of the Service.
My total liability to you will not exceed $100.
15. Changes to the Service or Terms
I may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time.
I may update these Terms. If I make material changes, I will notify you in the app or by email. Your continued use of the Service after the changes means you accept the updated Terms.
16. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules.
17. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the rest of the Terms remain in effect.
18. Entire Agreement
These Terms (together with the Privacy Policy) are the entire agreement between you and me regarding the Service.
